Spaced out monster!

This little monster looks a little dazed. No doubt he will still protect your Phone/ipod, but he might do it while giggling slightly in a world of his own. He was knitted with a thick wool on 4mm needles, meaning he's very sturdy and will most likely not let water in if you are out in my rain.

The snot

This little monster purse is really soft! He was knitted with smaller 4mm needles, and can store your spare change :) He is perfect to slip in a bag and is at a low price so he's not going to empty your purse.

Rawrrrr

This multicoloured monster is knitted with an incredibly soft aran wool, which was knitted with big 8mm needles. He's got a very friendly face made out of felt, and can store anything from ipods to change.

The Shaggy Bag

The shaggy bag! Another wonder from my mam's 8mm needles. Its knitted with 2 different wools, both shaggy, and is a perfect slouchy bag for everyday use, shopping and to snaz up your evening outfit.

Here's the page :)

The little Ipod/Phone monster

Heres the little creme monster that is the third item I made :) Again, his teeth and eyes are cut out of felt and then stiched using wool. He can hold most ipod nano's and mobile phones, stopping them getting scratched.

Here's his page:

The lovely flower bag

Here's my second project! This one was made by my mam, who is an amazing knitter. She used 8mm needles and a double yarn, giving it lovely soft feel. She then knitted the flower and the leaf, then stictched the detail by hand.

Here's it's Etsy page, please don't hesitate if you like it, it's only $5!

Fuzzy Monster Purse, Needs a Home

This is my first project, a little purse made of multicoloured wool with 4mm needles. He's on sale for $5 so he's a little bargain. He measures 4inches by 5 inches, and would be perfect to hold coins, phones or ipods.

Here's the link to his page :)

Multicoloured Monster

Hello! :)

Hai! I'm Emma, and I recently got addicted to knitting. I've been going on Etsy for a while, pretty much obsessed with it, and the jealousy I felt when I saw someone with a sucessful shop was unbelievable. I never really thought of myself as a business sort of person, but when I saw people making adorable little things I couldn't stop myself. The biggest problem was that I wasn't particulaly talented to do anything good enough to sell. I can paint, I do art at sixth form but I'm not really of the buy-able level, if you get what I mean. :)
One day I saw someone knitting and remembered those days when I was about seven and getting increasingly frustrated at the dropped stitches and unfinished scarves. I thought it was worth a try, and asked my Mam (who I wouldn't have been able to start this without) to get me some needles and wool. Armed with the Usbourne book of knitting for children, I had somewhere to start.

And so with my Mam helping me and a variety of wools, I started making monsters to protect phones, and purses that would hopefully catch someones eye.

Now, I have my shop and some things on there. It's not much but at least it's a start. I can't leave it alone for more than an hour: I keep checking the views and the hearts and its amazing, how something so small can keep me amused. And that's where this blog comes in! I'm determined to make this work and get my customers to know me, and maybe make a little money too. But more importantly it's just for fun, and to show I can do something sucessful :) I hope you'll keep checking if you're reading this, and maybe help me get a shop like one of those people I was so jealous of.
